Installing Office 365 on Windows PC

Step 1: Navigate to the lbcc.edu homepage. Then, in the upper left-hand corner, click on the Viking Portal.

Step 2: Type your LBCC ID@lbcc.edu (example 0123456@lbcc.edu) then click Next. Then type your password and click Sign-in.

Step 3: From your Viking Portal, locate and click on the Microsoft 365 tab to go to the Microsoft Apps. You can click one of the Microsoft applications you want to download.

Step 4: Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and on the bottom left, you should see Install Microsoft 365 Apps. Click on Install Microsoft 365 Apps. Then, click on Install Office.

Step 5: The download file should appear in the downloads section of your browser. Click on the file to open it. This step may look different depending on your browser you are using. Allow it to download the files.

Step 6: Click Yes when asked whether you want the program to make changes to your device. Then, wait for Office 365 to finish installing. Click Close when the install is complete.

Step 7: Using the Windows Start Button at the bottom of your screen, find and open any Office 365 app. For this example, we will be using Word. When you see this prompt, click Sign In.

Step 8: Log in to your account one more time using the following email format:

Student ID Number@lbcc.edu

Click Next.

Step 9: Enter your Viking Portal password again. Click Sign in. Then click if you only want to sign into All Microsoft Apps or just the ones you want to use. Click Accept to the license agreement.
