Purpose
CourseLeaf CAT is LBCC’s online catalog publishing system. It is used to create, edit, review, and publish the official College Catalog. It ensures that students, faculty, staff, and the public have access to up-to-date academic information.
CAT serves as the central location for maintaining catalog content such as academic programs, academic policies, department information, support services, and other institutional pages.

|
Manages the curriculum lifecycle for courses by allowing faculty and staff to create, edit, review, approve, and maintain course proposals through an electronic workflow. Once approved, course information is available for publication in CAT and other integrated systems.

CIM Programs
|
Manages the curriculum lifecycle for academic programs by allowing faculty and staff to create, edit, review, approve, and maintain program proposals through an electronic workflow. Approved program information is then available for publication in CAT and other integrated systems.

Class Search (CLSS)
|
CourseLeaf Section Scheduler (CLSS) streamlines how colleges and universities determine their class sections each term. It involves everything from inputting, editing, validating, and approving to updating the sections.

How the Products Work Together
Together, these products create a seamless workflow for managing the college’s academic information:

Curriculum is created and approved in CIM Courses and CIM Programs.

Approved curriculum data is synced to CAT and the college’s student information system, where it becomes part of the official College Catalog.

Approved courses are used in CLSS to build the schedule of classes offered each term.

Once published, students can access accurate curriculum information through the College Catalog and search for available class sections in Class Search.
This integrated approach helps ensure that curriculum, catalog information, and the class schedule remain accurate, consistent, and aligned across the institution.
