How to Access CITRIX Workspace App on a Mac

Pre-Setup: Before you begin installing the Workspace App, you will need to know what processor your device runs on.  This will determine which version of the Workspace App you will need to download and install. Apple devices can run on Intel processors or the Apple M1 or M2 chips.  Instructions on how to determine which processor your device runs on can be found here .

Step 1: You will need to select the version of the Workspace App that is compatible with your Mac. Click here to access the download link. Note: If your Mac runs on an Intel processor, click on Workspace app 2307 for Mac.  If your device runs on the M1 or M2 chip, click the Apple Silicon M1 and M2 Series option.

Step 2: Once you have found the correct version for your device, click Download file.  Click on the download file to open it.  For this example, we will be using Chrome.  However, download files for other browsers such as Safari, Edge, and Firefox often appear in the top-left corner.

Step 3: After opening the download file, the option to install the Workspace App will appear on your screen.  Double-click on Install Citrix Workspace.

Step 4: Your device will run an extra security check before installing the Workspace App, click Allow to move onto the next step.

Step 5: You will be asked agree to the terms of use.  Once you have clicked Agree and Continue on each of the pop-ups, you will be asked to click Install.  You may need to enter your device’s password and username to authorize this action.

Step 6: You will be asked whether you want to add an account.  Check the box labeled Add Account and click Continue. You will be asked to add an account. Use your EmployeeID#@lbcc.edu Click Continue.

Step 7: Next, you’ll be asked for a username and password.  For the username, enter your Employee ID number.  For the password, use your current Viking Portal password.  Click Sign In when finished.

Step 8: Choose remote desktop connection, then open. Enter the name of the computer you are attempting to connect to, then, enter the password to your profile.
